China Star, 2101 W College Ave # A, Santa Rosa

China Star is a nice little place.  My waitress was friendly and the food was good.

The menu has the standard Chinese food items, but I liked the motto printed at the bottom:  Healthy Food You Can Enjoy.  I thought the overall quality of the food lived up to that statement.

New York Pizza Kitchen, 657 Trancas St, Napa

New York Pizza Kitchen is a typical pizza restaurant where you can eat in or get pizza by the slice to go.

The staff are friendly and if you eat there often they'll know what you want when you walk in the door.

Villa Corona, 1138 Main St, St Helena

Villa Corona is a little Taqueria style restaurant but with more of a purposeful atmosphere.  The dining room was packed and noisy and the tables are arranged so that if the line gets long it goes straight between them out to the door.  The line was not long on this visit.

Soscol Cafe, 632 Soscol Ave, Napa

When you step onto a place like this, and the tiny dining room is crammed with truck driver looking guys, you expect the food to be good enough, and cheap.

Grapevine Deli & Grill, 902 A Enterprise Way, Napa

Grapevine Deli and Grill used to be called Pot Belly Deli.  I have only eaten here when it was called Grapevine.

Peking Chinese Restaurant, 1426 E Washington St, Petaluma

Peking is a simple restaurant with only two or three tables.  It seems like it’s mostly a takeout and delivery place.

It’s always been the same lady that serves me, and I have never seen anyone else eating or working in the place.  Nevertheless, the food is always hot and good.

La Luna Market and Taqueria, 1153 Rutherford Rd, Rutherford

La Luna Market and Taqueria is a Mexican market with a taqueria in the back. The place has a lot of character for sure. Inside you will find a lot of beer and such Mexican snacks as dehydrated shrimp in a bag that looks like it's for candy, among other things.

Joy Luck House, 1144 Jordan Lane, Napa

Joy Luck House is a relatively recent discovery for me, which is ironic since they are right accross the street from my office.

Everything I've tried here is just great. The portions are modest and the prices for lunch are unbeleivably low.

China Light, First St and Main, Napa

China Light is really good. You get a LOT of food and it's very inexpensive. The quality is consistenty very good.

I ordered Kung Pao Chicken this time and they brought more food than I could comfortably eat. The bill was $6.50; I tipped $1.50.
